I use my creative practice as a tangible, physical, and visual aid in understanding the aspects of myself that my mind won’t let me see. I use uninhibited creative action to help me get out of my way, to help me allow intuition to be my guide instead of hope and fear. At the 2019 Succurro Summer Festival, I tested this idea at a community scale. We created a fifteen yard silo mural in response to the prompt, “How Can We Create Collective Harmony?”. The idea is that through participating each individual gained the insight they needed to pursue the collective goal. The mural and prompt remain on the silo to greet visitors as they arrive at the farm.
